Worked with L, fourth grader on math. He showed me a different way to do multiplication by number place. I had to learn his way, and then I did the rest of the math homework alongside him. It was practice for me to try learning his way before tutoring him. That’s practical advice for tutors.

Worked with K, first grader now. And we did some language work, and also some math. With his math he measured things on the workpage. For his language, he had to identify vocabulary words in pictures. Some of the words were “pickle” and “kettle.”

I also read with A, female, third grade. We read a zombie love story, and it was fun.
